Swine Flu

This swine flu outbreak has everyone really freaking out. Which i think is in some ways a good thing. It gives me this sense of togetherness like how a school rivalry might bring a school toether, but for the world. It's good to see and hear about people getting together and doing something about it.

Researchers do not know how the virus is jumping relatively easily from person to person, or why it's affecting what should be society's healthiest demographic. Many of the victims who have died in Mexico have been young and otherwise healthy.

I think the fact that we are not exactly sure how to virus gets from person to person is very frightening. I think we have as a nation taken reasonable percations such as the shutting down of schools. "Some countries, such as China and Russia, have banned pork imports from the United States and Mexico" I think this might be a little drastic considering the disease can not be transmitted through eating or preparing pork.
